HERI Foundation is a Christian based charitable organisation registered by the Kenya NGO board in 2016. Among the work carried out by the organisation is Community empowerment, environment program and outreach program. The Mission desk which runs under the Nairobi branch of HERI Foundation serves to empower ministry workers in semi arid and unreached areas within our region. Beside the work we do in Mathare slums (empowering needy children), we have training programs for missionaries and ministry workers that have been done in various parts of Kenya, Uganda and Malawi. Besides, we have a working relationship with missionaries in Mozambique and Zambia.
We have held workshops and conferences in mission fields targeting those who have had no ministry foundational training and make them able to witness and empower others holistically.
In the coming year 2026, we intend to do this differently. We purpose to bring together 60-100 mission workers from these areas for a 4 days conference/workshop in Nairobi. We have identified a venue near Nairobi in Kiserian – the Redeemer Center and our dates are 16th to 20th February, 2026.
To do this, we have started a fundraising campaign to cater for hosting costs for all those serving in these challenging areas. The cost of hosting one missionary is Ksh. 14,000. Some of these ministry workers will also require support to be able to travel to Nairobi for the conference. We welcome any support from churches, organisations and individuals. Besides, we know that there are other ministry workers in a similar field who would benefit from such an initiative and who are unknown to us. Churches, organisations and individuals who recognise their work are welcome to sponsor them. We shall provided the links where they can be registered and sponsored.
We have a link for those willing to support a missionary or give an amount as the Lord enables them. There is also provision for the self sponsored through a link which churches, organisations and individuals can use to register and sponsor a specific ministry worker.
A separate link has been created for all those in the United Kingdom and it’s environs who wish to sponsor one or more missionaries.
